Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a French Canadian Linguist/Translator

Title: French Canadian Linguist/Translator

Job type: Fulltime/Contract on W2.

Location: Charlotte, NC-Hybrid (3 days in-office/2 days remote)

Duration: 13+ Months

This role seeks a French Canadian translator with substantial experience in the translation industry, particularly within a major financial institution. The position requires fluency in French Canadian and English, a strong grasp of translation tools, and a solid understanding of financial and legal jargon.

In this role, you will be:

• Translate and review content to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Perform back translation to validate the integrity of the original message.
• Conduct in-context reviews and language quality control (LQC).
• Collaborate with Language Service Providers (LSPs) and handle tasks within the internal workflow tool.
• Respond to client feedback and work on ad hoc projects with the Linguistic Manager and the In-Language Customer Experience Team.
• Experience in the financial sector or a deep understanding of financial terminology.
• Flexibility to handle unexpected workload changes, including extended hours if necessary.

An ideal candidate should have:

• Proficiency in French Canadian translation.
• Proficient use of translation tools such as Trados Studio, MultiTerm, or TMS.
• ATA certification or similar industry credentials.
• Ability to pass a rigorous language assessment.
• Bachelor's degree in French translation or linguistics.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience in translating creative content for French Canadian audiences.
• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and other content tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a virtual team environment.
• Adaptability and a positive attitude.
