Overview

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all accounting functions within the organization. This role involves ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective financial management.

Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
    
    
  • Prepare and file tax returns.
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to management.
• Accounting Operations:
  • Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Oversee the work of accounting staff and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
  • Implement and maintain accounting systems and processes.
• Financial Analysis:
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and budgets.
  • Evaluate the financial performance of the organization and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting regulations.
  • Manage audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Team Management:
  • Recruit, hire, and train accounting staff.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team.
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback.
• Financial Planning:
  • Develop financial strategies and plans to support the organization's goals.
  • Manage cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity.
  • Assist with financial decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting management
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lead and manage a team
