Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional looking to make an impact in the non-profit sector? We are seeking an AP Specialist to join our client on a 3-6 month contract, with the potential for permanent hire.

Position: Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist
Contract Duration: 3-6 months (with potential for permanent hire)
Location: Los Angeles, 90005
Compensation: Competitive, commensurate with experience

Qualifications:

• Required: High school diploma or GED
• Required: Previous Accounts Payable experience, with an emphasis on complex coding
• Preferred: Experience in a non-profit organization
• Preferred: Familiarity with MIP Abila accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable transactions, including complex coding of invoices and expense reports
• Ensure accurate and timely handling of grant-related payments and expense allocations
• Maintain and update vendor records and manage communications with vendors
• Reconcile AP records with financial systems to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes as needed
• Assist in grant and fund accounting, ensuring all transactions align with budgetary and regulatory requirements
