Academic Req: Required - High school diploma

Certifications: First aid, CPR, Emergency behavior intervention

Work experience: Required - 3 years of progressive employment experience in a multifaceted clerical/administrative capacity

Critical Action Items & Measurable Deliverables:

1. Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards that are applicable to this position.

2. Assist in tracking, screening, and hiring program applicants.

3. Manage some purchasing for the program as directed by the supervisor.

4. Write general correspondence, memos, charts, etc.

5. Proofread copy for spelling/grammar and layout to ensure accuracy and clarity of the final copy.

6. Oversee the maintenance of on-site personnel records in a confidential manner.

7. Maintain billing files and reconcile payments received before forwarding the information to the account department.

8. Organize and attend recruiting events.

9. Assist in new hire orientation as needed.

10. Coordinate new staff information sharing with information technology, finance, human resources, and other departments as needed.

11. Complete background checks and drug screening for all perspective employees as required by division.

12. Complete background checks on all staff every 2 years.

13. Participate in workshops, seminars, education programs and activities that promote professional growth and development.

14. Work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed or requested by position supervisor.

15. Implement Compass Connections safety protocols in case of an emergency.

16. Maintain confidentiality in all areas of the service population and program operations.

17. Maintain Compass Connections professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in Compass Connections employee handbook including demonstrating respect for agency staff, the service population, and community members and complying with required dress code at all times.

Other Responsibilities:

1. Completes administrative and documentation tasks related to staff hires, onboarding, and departures from the agency.

2. Maintain personnel files in compliance with agency policies and procedures and licensing and contract standards.

3. Frequently traverse from one area to another within the administration building.

4. Meet all deadlines required by program supervisor and federal partners.

5. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English.

Requirements:

1. Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens and maintain emotional control and professional composure at all times.

2. Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.

3. Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks.

4. Demonstrate the ability to:

a. Respond sensitively and competently to the service population's cultural and socio-economic characteristics

b. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English

c. Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain emotional control and professional composure at all times

d. Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position

e. Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team

5. Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Compass Connections policies and procedures.
