Position Summary:
Application Coordinator - Radiant
Reporting to Application Manager - Radiant
• Implementation & Maintenance: Responsible for configuring, testing, and supporting the Radiant module to meet the specific needs of the radiology department. This includes coordinating software upgrades, patches, and enhancements. Working with our Medical Imaging Platform team (MI2) who support the sites downstream Imaging/Archival systems to ensure smooth transitions for project deliverable
• Project Management: Works on projects related to the deployment and optimization of Radiant. Ensure that project goals, timelines, and objectives are met. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including MGB Info Systems, Medical Imaging (MI2), radiology staff, and other Epic Application teams.
• User Support & Training: Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting to end-users such as system administrators (MI2), radiologists, technologists, and administrative staff. Conduct user training sessions and create training materials.
• Integration & Optimization: Ensure Radiant integrates smoothly with other Epic modules and third-party applications. Focus on optimizing workflows to enhance operational efficiency and improve patient care within radiology.
• Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure that all Radiant functionalities comply with healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, DICOM). Participate in testing scenarios to validate that the application is functioning as intended.
• Vendor Liaison: Act as a point of contact between the organization and Epic Systems, communicating needs, issues, and updates related to the Radiant module.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Act as part of a team of software application and workflow experts to provide design & build expertise to analyze organization's current business practices and translate them into configurations and workflows, for successful product implementation
• Provides recommendations based on subject matter expertise to resolve roadblocks in the technical build
• Ability to make decisions using application knowledge and analysis in a timely fashion
• Ability to create, edit and run complex reports and perform other tasks associated with the ongoing support of the software application
• Works with peers regarding work procedures, technical issues, and prioritization/delegation of work, which may also include onboarding and training of new staff
• Participates in discussion of business requirements and coordinates the translation of those business requirements into functional specifications and/or system build and/or configuration for the software application, and offers recommendations for improvements in data collection, workflow or other processes when possible
• Works closely with the application's vendor or developer to communicate the functional specifications, providing details to improve understanding
• Assists in developing test plans and performs related software quality assurance tasks
• Provides ongoing support of the software applications by identifying and resolving issues, often as the point of escalation for more complex issues
• Provides high quality, customer-focused services
• Participates in regular team meetings to discuss team activities, issues and updates
• Acts as team delegate/representative at department, project or other meetings, as assigned
• Participates as needed with review of the training curriculum and end user documentation for the applications user community

Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree required
• 3-5 years of healthcare information technology experience and some experience in a Radiology setting
• A combination of education and experience may be substituted for requirements
• Epic Certification Required. Preferably Radiant, Cupid or Optime
Skills/Abilities/Competencies:
• Experience with the development, support or operation of software applications in a healthcare setting
• Knowledge of the workflows and operations supported by the software application(s)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated analytic and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical staff
• Ability to learn quickly
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and other popular office productivity solutions
• Demonstrates fiscal responsibility by effectively using Mass General Brigham Resources
Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
• This position requires occasional local and a Hybrid working model with travel to MGB sites, vendors, and/or conferences
• On-call coverage expected as business needs dictate
• Hospital work environment working conditions include possible exposure to diseases or infections and may require safety gear (PPE) such as gloves and mask.
• Normal office working conditions. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; talk; or hear; use hands to finger; handle; or feel; reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop; kneel; or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
