Summary
Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, is seeking a full-time faculty member for their Assessment and Treatment Center (ATC).
The ATC is a 24/7, referral-based center that is an integral part of Roswell Park's acute care services. The ATC's principal role is to diagnose and treat acute complications of cancer and therapy for cancer. ATC physicians care for patients with a broad range of illnesses that include infections, pain, cardiac, pulmonary, and renal complications, and surgical complications. Many of our patients seen in ATC are enrolled in investigational clinical trials that include immunotherapy and targeted therapies. ATC physicians have ready access to medical, radiation, and surgical oncologists and sub-specialty experts and 24/7 diagnostic imaging. The ATC is part of the Department of Internal Medicine, which brings together general internists and internal medicine specialists with the common mission of providing our patients with state-of-the-art acute care and subspecialty expertise.
This position primarily involves clinical responsibilities and working with a diverse team of both surgical and medical oncologists, advanced practice providers, and nurses. Ideal candidates will have exemplary clinical skills in an urgent care setting and experience working with cancer patients. We encourage applications both from physicians with a long-term interest in urgent care as well as those that are considering a future fellowship in Hematology & Oncology.
Salary range is $210,180 - $347,368 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
License and Certification Requirement
1. License or permit to practice as a Medical Doctor in the State of New York.
2. Possession of or eligibility for a valid medical specialty certificate in General Internal Medicine, Family Practice or other related medical specialty.
Education and Experience
Medical Doctor degree in the field of General Internal Medicine.
NOTE: Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
