Summary of Position
The position supports various admission and recruitment programs in support of the College's enrollment goals. They provide support and assistance to prospective students and their families, as well as college counselors, through the planning and execution of recruitment activities including on campus visits, interviews, information sessions, high school and community based organization visits and college fairs. The counselor is part of a collaborative team who focus on student success through a lens of equity and inclusion and has a passion for the liberal arts.

YOUR COMPENSATION
New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role. The expected minimum pay rate range for this non-exempt position is $20.19 per hour, depending on experience
On April 20,2024 the US Department of Labor announced a final rule, which will take effect on July 1, 2024. The rule updates and revises the regulations issued under section 13(a)(1) for the Fair Labor Standards Act. Revisions include increases to the standard salary level threshold for exempt positions. Where positions currently are considered exempt from overtime, with the upcoming July 1 revisions, some positions may convert to non-exempt, based on the threshold amounts which are regulated by the Federal Government.

THE HIRING PROCESS

An offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check. We hope to have the ideal candidate hired by May 6, 2024, although a start-time may be later than this, depending on a candidate's availability. For certain positions, finalist candidates can expect to engage in three rounds of interviews either in person or via Online meetings.
