Job Summary:

The Department of Psychology in the College of Science, at the University of Texas at Arlington, invites applications for an Assistant Professor tenure-track position. We are seeking candidates with expertise in behavioral and brain science and/or health psychology, who will complement our departmental initiatives and existing strengths in the areas of health and/or neuroscience. We have a specific interest in a community-engaged, applied focus that aims to translate scientific findings into the design of positive environments, workplaces and communities that support the health and well-being of individuals who belong to underrepresented, at-risk, and/or stigmatized identities. In accordance with USCIS regulations, successful applicants must be legally able to accept work in the United States. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will be committed to excellence in research, teaching, and service, and will be expected to supervise graduate and/or undergraduate student research and teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum requirements for this position include: (1) a Ph.D. or equivalent in Psychology, or closely related discipline; (2) strong publication record or strong publication potential; (3) evidence of existing funding or potential to develop a strong research program with external funding; and (4) commitment to quality teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels.

Department Information:

The Department of Psychology, which is housed within the College of Science, offers both a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology.
