Assistant Professor (TT) or Professor of Practice (non-TT) of Business Administration (Sport Management)

Disciplinary Area: The Department of Business Administration and Accounting at Hartwick College invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor (or non-tenure-track, renewable Professor of Practice) starting in August 2025, pending final administrative approval. We seek candidates with expertise in Business Administration to serve as Coordinator of Hartwick's new Sport Management major. If applying for the Professor of Practice position, minimum qualifications include a Master's in Business or a related field by the time of the appointment, with preference given to those with teaching experience at an undergraduate baccalaureate institution. If applying for the Assistant Professor position, minimum qualifications include a PhD in Business or a related field by the time of appointment, with preference given to those with teaching experience at the undergraduate level. Specific teaching assignments will include Sport Management, Sport Marketing, Introduction to Business, and possibly general education courses, including First Year Seminars. Teaching load will average 20 semester credit hours or their equivalent per academic year, and all faculty members teach during the College's distinctive four-week January Term. The successful candidate must be committed to excellence and innovation in undergraduate teaching. Tenure-track faculty are expected to actively engage in scholarly or creative activities. Committee service, including campus wide and departmental governance, and academic advising are expected for re-appointment, tenure, and promotion.

Salary Range: $70,000-73,000
