The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for identifying, building, and maintaining strategic business relationships with new and existing clients throughout the South and East Coast territory of the United States. The BDM will have the responsibility of identifying a variety of projects in various industries throughout the region that may warrant involvement of GFL's dredging and dewatering services. The right individual will cultivate existing relationships, while also possessing the ability to develop leads through various avenues such as the utilization of online bidding sites, video conferences, cold calls, strategic marketing emails, facility visits, networking events, and internal networking.
The BDM will be required to have experience in reading and understanding RFPs, engineering drawings, and contract documentation. This role involves close collaboration with sales, marketing, and technical teams to ensure that all proposals are tailored to the specific needs and requirements of our clients. The Business Development Manager will play a crucial role within the sales team. Other tasks will include estimating, proposal writing, compiling of new clientele and market data, all while maintaining accurate tracking of leads and opportunities utilizing the approved method whether it be Word, Excel, or a CRM.
