We are looking for a Buyer to join our team in Manchester, NH. Ideal candidates will have Lean training and Kaizen experience. If you're excited about this opportunity, please apply!

Location: Manchester, NH

Pay: $25-27/hr.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 3 PM (Flexible on start and end times)

Type: Temp to Hire

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use MRP (Epicor preferred) for procurement and planning.
  • Maintain part master data for material planning.
  • Manage inventory levels and explore reduction strategies
  • Understand "Plan for Every Part" (PFEP) and calculate Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) for cost savings.
  • Create production plans for efficient scheduling.
  • Lead planning meetings to address demand vs. capacity gaps.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to improve scheduling and resource use.
  • Ensure timely completion of production orders.
  • Understand reorder points and safety stock calculations.
  • Place purchase orders based on forecasts and trends.
  • Identify potential part shortages and work with vendors to prevent them.
  • Manage purchase order acknowledgments and reconciliations with vendors.
  • Analyze causes of late shipments and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor supplier delivery performance and drive improvements.
  • Evaluate slow-moving items and suggest solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, but relevant experience will be considered.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in Planning and Procurement.
  • Certifications: CIPS qualification is desirable, but not required. Relevant experience is also acceptable.
