Job Summary:
Provides continuous cardiac rhythm surveillance for patients in general care areas and the Emergency Department requiring telemetry monitoring.. Demonstrates ability to identify, quantify and communicate electrocardiographic patterns and dysrhythmias. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
TRAINING DESCRIPTION:
Must complete Basic Rhythm Interpretation Course and pass associated exam with a score of 95%, or higher, within 90 days of hire.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:
Must have the ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced work environment. Exemplary communication, telephone etiquette and customer service skills are required. Must possess analytical skills to gather and interpret routine data. Must be capable of continuous monitoring of patients, remaining alert at all times while on duty. Working knowledge of Windows office systems and all office equipment.
