Job Description:

The Career Network Coordinator is a critical contributor to the Career and Life Design team in Alumni Relations and plays an integral role in supporting career connections between Brown students and alums.

The Career and Life Design team has a primary focus on creating student-alumni career connections. The centerpiece of this program is our online platform that builds communities for Brown constituents. In close collaboration with the Dean of the College, the Career Center for Exploration, and the Alumni Relations and Development offices, the Coordinator will support the coordination and implementation of a student-alumni career program to ensure a positive experience for all participants.

This position will have responsibility for various aspects of outreach, operations, and program implementation. The incumbent's work will directly enable the development, maintenance, and growth of a network of Brown alumni, parents, family, and friends who give time, talent, and expertise to students through career-oriented engagement.

Additional responsibilities, including communications and event-planning elements such as budgeting, registration, deadlines, and logistics will help facilitate a dynamic program, offering an engagement continuum for lifelong involvement and investment in Brown.

The incumbent will work closely with the Director of Career and Life Design, and collaborators across campus, to market programs to students and alumni, develop user experience guides, manage communications, and codify informative data to aid the team in building, measuring, and planning alumni engagement.

This individual should be a creative self-starter with the ability to juggle many tasks at once and must possess superior people skills. The incumbent must be extremely detail-oriented and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining the highest standards. The candidate should have proven project management skills, social media skills, and technology proficiency, should be a good listener, and be a strong relationship builder. The incumbent should possess an enthusiastic, positive, can-do attitude with a creative and innovative approach to work.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are integral to the commitment of Advancement and the University. Accordingly, the Division of Advancement seeks qualified candidates who can contribute to equity, diversity, and inclusion through their everyday functions
