Job Summary: The Cash Postings Refund Specialist is responsible for managing and processing refunds, posting payments, and ensuring accurate financial records. This role involves working closely with the finance team to handle cash postings, process refunds, and maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:

Process Refunds: Validate and track credits due to insurance companies, patients, and other payers. Prepare and process refund requests accurately and timely.

Cash Posting: Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.

Account Management: Manage and reconcile accounts, ensuring all discrepancies are resolved promptly.

Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Customer Service: Respond to inquiries from patients, insurance companies, and other stakeholders regarding refunds and account balances.

Reporting: Generate and analyze financial reports related to cash postings and refunds. Provide insights and recommendations for process improvements.

Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team and other departments to ensure seamless financial operations.
