Job Description Summary
As part of the Department of Psychiatry, the Neurodevelopment & Psychosis Section and the Lifespan Brain Institute (LiBI) are devoted to the study of brain and behavior throughout the lifespan. The Neurodevelopmental Trajectories in 22q11DS project is a longitudinal study designed to examine developmental trajectories through the phenotyping of psychopathology, neurobehavioral, and environmental exposures, and medical burden in parents and children. This work will identify convergent risk mechanisms for the developmental neuropsychiatric disorders that have relevance to the broader population. The Clinical Research Coordinator will be responsible for the collection of research data from recruitment through quality assessment and data analysis, including the collection of clinical and cognitive data from children suffering from serious neurodevelopmental disorders and their parents.

Clinical Research Coordinator A/B

The Clinical Research Coordinator will perform all aspects of the project including recruitment, screening and assessment of potential participants, scheduling of research visits, conducting semi-structured clinical interviews with participants and their families, administration of neurocognitive tests, and collection and maintenance of clinical and neurocognitive data. The Coordinator will also be responsible for administrative aspects of the project including attending research team meetings, assisting with IRB submissions and progress reports, uploading data in relevant databases and accurately maintaining project databases and other participant related information.

The CRC-B will share similar duties as the CRC-A but can operate more independently while also being a team player. Prior experience as a research assistant, data coordinator or study coordinator preferred.

Qualifications

CRC-A: Bachelor's degree in biomedical related field and 1-2 years of prior clinical research experience working in psychosis or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Experience working with individuals with psychotic or neurodevelopmental disorders and children/adolescents, as well as experience in semi-structured diagnostic interviewing and psychological testing are preferred. The candidate must have strong organizational, leadership, oral and written communication and computer skills. Candidates must possess demonstrated computer skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, data management skills, and experience working independently.

CRC-B: Bachelor's Degree in biomedical related field with 2-3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Masters degree and experience working with individuals with psychotic or neurodevelopmental disorders and children/adolescents, as well as experience in semi-structured diagnostic interviewing and psychological testing are preferred. The candidate must have strong organizational, leadership, oral and written communication and computer skills. Candidates must possess demonstrated computer skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, data management skills, and experience working independently.

Background check required. Must pass Pennsylvania s Child Protective Services Act (also known as Act 73) background checks, within 30-90 days of employment. Position contingent on funding.
