Ultimately, the department aims to continue its lead in both clinical care and scientific discovery, fostering a future of personalized medicine.Stanford Radiology is a large department that spans across clinical services, research labs, and research centers, with each providing specific areas of focus but all collaborating in a highly interdisciplinary environment. The Communications Coordinator will support the Stanford Medicine Department of Radiology by executing day-to-day communication activities that support internal communication and enhance external visibility. This role involves assisting with the production of internal department-wide newsletters, managing timelines for content delivery, collaborating with institutional communicators, and developing other forms of communication materials based on new clinical and research developments. The coordinator will gather and organize content from various divisions and across the entire department, ensuring clear and timely communication of important announcements and community-building efforts. Managing the content strategy calendar will be a key responsibility, ensuring the timely publication of newsletters and other communications across relevant channels, such as email, websites, and online channels.Additional administrative duties will include tracking important department metrics, such as awards, research publications, and conference presentations, for internal and external communications. Part of the role will also involve identifying appropriate communication channels and refining strategies to ensure effective messaging across internal and external audiences.Duties Include*:

    Assist and support in day-to-day activities for communication deliverables for the entire Department of Radiology.Assist in the production and timely distribution of content across the department by managing a content strategy calendar and meeting publication deadlines.Serve as the main point of contact in producing two department-wide newsletters using online content creation and communication platforms.Support the production of publications and other communication vehicles by attending department events for photography support, when necessary. Perform other administrative duties as assigned, such a tracking department metrics.Assist with curating content and determining proper communication channels.

    Strong interpersonal skills, with adaptability to effectively communicate across audiences, including distilling scientific information.Creative and collaborative individual with experience in creating content in varied formats.Ability to multi-task, with exceptional attention to detail.Rapid problem-solving skills.Familiarity with online communication platforms.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.Basic design skills, such as with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.Working knowledge of both the creative and analytic side of content management.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED): Bachelor's degree and one year of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):
    Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.Demonstrated planning and/or project management and organizational skills.May demonstrate proficiency and creative or technical ability in a particular field.Ability to be self-directed and take initiative.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
    Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.Frequently stand/walk, sit, use a telephone, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, speaking.Occasionally grasp forcefully, writing by hand.Rarely sort/file paperwork.

The expected pay range for this position is $35.69 to $41.00 per hour.Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position.
