Compensation: $24.54Hourly; $25.81 Hourly QMHP

The Community Support Specialist for the Emergency Room Enhancement program is responsible for engaging consumers into services, assisting them in accessing needed services and resources to achieve and maintain health and recovery. Responsibilities Include:
* Provide individual assistance to consumers in accessing needed mental health and medical services
* Provide individuals assistance to consumers in accessing a variety of public services including financial and housing, including assistance on an emergency basis and directly helping to meet needs for food, shelter and clothing
* Assist consumers to access and utilize a variety of community agencies to acquire ongoing social, educational, vocational and health and housing resources
* Training, coaching and supporting in daily living skills, including housekeeping, cooking, personal grooming, accessing transportation, keeping a budget, paying bills and maintaining an independent residence
* Follow up with consumers regarding appointments, completion of forms, returning forms or receipts and other similar activities
* Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION
High School/GED required
Associate/Bachelor's/Master's degree in a human service-related field preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE
At least four (4) years of experience OR a combination of higher education and experience required if a High School/GED is the highest education obtained
At least two (2) years of experience OR a combination of higher education and experience required if an Associate's degree is the highest education obtained
(*If the degree is an Associate's of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support from an approved institution; then no additional experience is required)
At least one (1) year of experience required if a non-human service Bachelor's degree is the highest education obtained
All experience must include working with individuals with psychiatric, substance use, and/or developmental disabilities
A valid driver's license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required
