RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Controller in Reston, VA.Responsibilities:- Controller will oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Coordinate and lead the annual audit process
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making
- As a Controller, you will manage cash flow and working capital to optimize financial performance
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff
- Utilize QuickBooks software for all accounting functions and reporting
REQUIREMENTS:
- QuickBooks experience
- Financial modeling and cash flow modeling experience
- Come from engineering and/or construction industry or government contracting industry
- Understanding of how smaller companies operate and build out their structures
- Advanced Excel (pivot tables, v/h look ups, ability to do models/analysis)
- Ability to look at processes and understand profit and losses for projects
- Ability to interact with various departments, banks, private equity firms
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
