JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Cost Estimator, you will be responsible for providing accurate quote data that is derived from architectural drawings, consultant specifications, and job specific product applications.

Process quotes from the quote que as required in the allotted time needed. Simple quotes 4-24 hours, more complex or multiple box projects 24-48 hours. Spec projects with multiple pages, drop box or links need to be processed in 48-72 hours unless it is a stadium project, and extra time will be slotted.

Reporting directly to the Customer Service Manager, this position is based on-site in Parsons, TN*.

Major Accountability:

  • Process specific quotations for customers including, but not limited to complex walk-ins, refrigeration systems, buyouts, refrigeration racks and combinations with Blast Chillers.
  • Process quotes for Dealers/Reps with the information they provide. Work with CSRs on any layout that may need the configuration changed to assist our manufacturing standards.
  • Apply an advanced knowledge of walk-ins and refrigeration applications to project quote requests.
  • Assist with testing in Dev test sites as required to upgrade our systems and quoting tools.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
  • Prepares specialty refrigeration quotes to customer service including rack quotes, buyouts, water-cooled refrigeration, and any special refrigeration application in conjunction with Sr Engineer.
  • Identify and analyze complete project specifications to provide customer needs.
  • Revise quotes that are in the quote que as needed.
  • Double check work to ensure accuracy before sending quote to the CSR's.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in business with a minimum of 3 years' experience in manufacturing environment; in lieu of education will consider 5 or more years of manufacturing experience.
  • Strong understanding of Kolpak's product lines including refrigeration systems, door accessories and new product designs.
  • Intermediate Microsoft office skills
  • Ability to interpret construction documents (including material specifications, blueprints, engineered drawings, component templates, basic wiring diagrams, and engineered drawings)
  • Excellent Refrigeration component knowledge
  • Must be able to wear PPE as needed.
