ECS is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer - Infrastructure Engineer to work in our Fairfax, VA office.
Job Description:
In this technical, hands-on role you will be responsible for successful operation of a variety of cybersecurity tools, logging framework, and cybersecurity infrastructure. You will also support written technical deliverables for our customers and building new capabilities. As an Infrastructure Engineer you will support the storage, compute, network, and supporting systems required for all operations.
This role will be a hybrid on-site position but has the potential to be remote for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in an On-Call rotation.
- Design, document, build, secure, and maintain the storage, compute, network, and supporting infrastructure.
- Design, document, build, secure, and maintain cloud environments such as AWS and Azure.
- Manage and maintain the supporting services such as Microsoft Active Directory, VMWare Virtualization, and Veeam backups.
- Support the managed infrastructures of our environments through patching, updating, security remediations, monitoring, and alarming.
- Discover opportunities for improvement and automation.
- Manage and coordinate the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Certificate vendors.
Required Skills: - 5+ years of experience with infrastructure systems.
- AWS Certification (DevOps, Engineer, Architect)
Desired Skills: - Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience with WAN/LAN Networking and IPSec VPN Tunnels.
- Experience with routers, switches, and firewalls. (e.g. Cisco, Palo Alto)
- Experience with Cloud technologies. (e.g. AWS and Azure)
- Experience with AWS Core Networking. (e.g. VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, Route 53, Transit Gateways, Virtual Private Gateway, VPC Peering, Security Groups)
- Experience with AWS Elastic Computing (EC2, EBS, S3, ELB, ECS, RDS, etc)
- Firm understanding of AWS Metrics & Security tools and frameworks (VPC FlowLogs, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, IAM, etc)
- Firm understanding of Infrastructure as Code and AWS Serverless Architecture (CloudFormation & Lambda)
- Experience with Role Based Access Controls (RBAC) and the Principle of Least Privilege.
- Experience with Windows Server, Windows Desktop, and Linux operating systems.
- Firm understanding of Vulnerability Assessment/Management and Patch Management.
- Ability to analyze requirements, design, implement, and operate highly available and scalable On-Prem and Cloud based infrastructure.
- Scripting experience with Python, Perl, and/or Bash. (Python preferred)
- Familiar with DevOps tools and methods such as Ansible, Git, and Agile.
- Able to document an infrastructure environment including runbooks, configuration guides, operations manuals with diagrams.
- Able to work independently with little guidance or as a team.
- Knowledge of PKI and Certificates enrollment and revocation procedures.
