Are you ready to dive into the world of massive machinery and make a real impact? As a key player in our team, you'll be at the forefront of supporting our cutting-edge Large Mining Trucks. Imagine working with some of the most powerful machines on the planet, ensuring they operate at peak performance in the toughest environments.

As a Design Engineer, you'll design, develop, build, and implement new components, products, or technologies.

What you will do:

  • Designing the mounting and installation for the electrical wiring and components on large mining trucks.
  • Utilize local and corporate best practices to design for assembly, serviceability, and durability per requirements.
  • Participating in and supporting electrical installation during new design builds in the factory and field when required.
  • Assisting in troubleshooting and issue resolution for defects arising in the factory and the field.
Degree Requirement: Degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.

What skills you will have:

Technical Excellence: Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations. Ability to read and interpret 2D technical drawings, schematics and computer-generated reports.

Computer-Aided Design & Engineering: Previous experience with computer applications and software related to the engineering field. Experience with PTC Creo or other 3D modeling software.

Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

Effective Communications: Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability. Team player and detail-oriented.

Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.

Product Design and Development: Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production.

Top Candidates will also have:

Intellectual Curiosity

3-5 years prior design experience related to vehicle or component design

Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team setting.

Additional Information:

The primary location for this position is Tucson, AZ, or Decatur, IL.

Domestic relocation assistance is not available.

This position may require 10 % travel.
