Job Description
Seeking an individual with a background in Naval Architecture and Outfitting Design and who is also proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite. A complete understanding of ship design practices and blueprint reading skills are required. Applicant will be directly involved in the Quality Assurance and development of Naval Architecture and Outfitting drawings and other products associated with U.S. Naval ship modifications and overhauls. Applicant will also be responsible for ensuring that all technical requirements are fully compiled into deliverable products while following applicable procedures and standards.

Basic Qualifications
Associate's degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 3 years' experience: High school diploma and 7 years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Computer literacy skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines during the drawing development process
- Able to conduct ship check and provide detailed mark-ups to support drawing development
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft products
- Ability to work alone or as part of team with minimum supervision during ship checks
- Ability to obtain secret clearance
- Shipboard experience with the CG47 ,LCS, LPD-17, LHA/LHD class ships
- Familiarity with all components of US Navy Naval Architecture Systems is preferred
- Understanding in ship design, blueprint reading and Quality Assurance
