RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce is working with a global solutions firm for precious metals in search of a Development Manager in New York, NY to join their team! This position is full time, direct hire and hybrid/remote in NY.Key Responsibilities:
  • Development Manager will hire, mentor, and retain a best-of-class engineering team
  • Lead a group of highly talented developers and testers that are globally distributed
  • Continuously improve teams' productivity, efficiency, and overall performance
  • Proactively invent ways to improve product quality, customer support and Operations
  • Meet stringent delivery deadlines
  • Coaching/Training team members as needed and providing timely feedback
  • Participate in solution design, code review and supporting our customers
  • Recruit and hire the right talent
  • Set expectations and goals for developers and testers
  • As a Development Manager, you will perform performance reviews and coach employees
  • Lead and manage software development scrum teams - from inception to product rollout
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to mitigate risk and resolve dependencies
  • Work closely with stake holders to define product features and roadmap
  • Act as a SME for trading platform (metals and crypto)
  • Exercise independent judgment and play active roles on decision makings on product design and customer issues


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent; Masters Preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience developing software in an Agile environment
  • Experience and successful track record of managing complex software development, delivery, and support
  • Experience with UX/UI design tools, React JS and react native preferred, but not necessary
  • Hands-on experience in both front-end (Either React or Angular) and back-end development highly preferred
  • Experience in developing SaaS/Cloud based products a must
  • Experience with .Net stack and Azure ecosystem (Azure Boards, CI/CD, Git Repos, etc.)
  • Experience evaluating complex strategic initiatives, facilitating, influencing, and contributing to design
  • People management experience with multiple teams located in different time zones
  • Strong technical knowledge of software development technologies & lifecycle including web apps, Rest APIs, microservices, and infrastructure components
  • An ideal candidate has a strong technical background (worked as a lead developer and/or architect) before moving into a leadership role
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to identify key issues, structure analysis and synthesize data, and provide recommendations effectively
  • Strong leadership skills, team-oriented, collaborative, and flexible
  • Effective interpersonal, listening, oral, written and presentation skills
  • This position will provide leadership on areas of execution for functional, non-functional, white box, integration and reliability testing for applications keeping automation in mind
  • Ability to work US New York hours (or at least until 2PM EST)


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
