Job Description:
Part-time position working 30 hours each week. Hours are 8:30 am - 3 pm M-F with weekends AND holidays off! Starting pay is $16.16/hr + $3/hr differential = $19.16/hr This position IS eligible for benefits including: medical, dental, vision, retirement AND a commuting bonus of $200 per month .
This position will perform, but will not be limited to, the following job duties:
General cleaning of kitchen, cafeteria and canteen areas including floor drains, floors, walls, coolers, freezer, restrooms and offices, help unload food trucks.
Chemical safety and use.
Expectation: Use proper cleaning agents for the surface or area being cleaned to prevent damage to surfaces. Read and follow label directions and precautions. Know and use the proper dilution rate for all chemicals. Do not mix chemicals.
Work safely to ensure your safety and the safety of others.
Expectation: Prevent accidents by use of wet floor signs, drying wet floors, returning furnishings to their proper place, be mindful of electrical cords and equipment use, their condition, proper storage and use.
Collection and disposal of trash.
Expectation: Collect trash in such a way as not to contaminate the environment. Insure hazardous materials are disposed of in such a way as to reduce hazards, spread of infections, and injuries.
Improve knowledge, skills and abilities, adapt to change and be of service to others.
Expectation: Complete daily/weekly/monthly cleaning tasks. Attend in-services and training sessions as assigned.Develop continuous quality improvement habits.
Other duties to fulfill the mission of CNVH, the needs of members, guests and staff.
Expectation: Any assigned duty of an emergency nature and assisting other departments in the accomplishment of their assignments as staffing allows. Encourage and assist others in their professional development.
Regulations/Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: No specific education, training, or experience is required for entry to this class.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of housekeeping duties; basic cleaning and infection control. Ability to communicate effectively; safely mix cleaning solutions to proper proportions using concentrated cleaning agents for a variety of surfaces; work independently or as a team; move around to work safely, lift and move objects; assist in unloading trucks; use common cleaning tools, maintain care and use of supplies, equipment, etc.; read label directions, precautions and hazards.
