Digital Communications Specialist, Emergency Medicine (Hybrid Opportunity)🔍School of Medicine, Stanford, California, United StatesNew📁Marketing📅2 days ago Post Date📅105166 Requisition #This position will be based on the Stanford campus and is a hybrid of working on-site and working from home, subject to operational need.Stanford University Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking a highly motivated communications professional to join our team and help elevate the visibility of our world-class researchers, educators, and clinicians. This junior-level role reports to the Director of Communications and offers the opportunity to contribute to a wide array of communication efforts.Approximately 50% of the role will focus on managing and growing the department's social media channels, including developing original content and videos, crafting engaging campaigns, and increasing audience engagement, in collaboration with the Director of Communications. As part of content development, this role will frequently photograph and video various department events and trainings on and near Stanford University campus. This position requires some time spent on campus every week.The role will also create the department's weekly internal newsletter and provide minor website maintenance and updates. This is a newly created position with the opportunity to shape your role and expand your responsibilities to fit your experience and skills.Duties include:

    Produce and curate digital content to engage users, increase user base, and grow channels. Optimize content delivery strategies; build content topics, tailor content to outlet platform, target specific audiences, and make editorial decisions.Strategize to build and grow digital community through social media channels, paid advertising campaigns, blogs, and the web.Manage social listening efforts based on comments and online conversations. Respond to reputation risks by taking appropriate action and recommend solutions to minimize harm.Compile data, analyze and report on social media use. Analyze how content is performing and create reports with recommendations to management.Build support for social initiatives among internal stakeholders by acting as internal advocate for digital community efforts, building support and driving digital best practices. Contribute to overall development and refinement of digital community strategy, and innovative social initiatives by proposing and implementing recommendations.Provide customer service to constituents across digital channels; Represent organization to constituents, campus, media.Produce draft of weekly internal newsletter.Provide maintenance support for the external department website.
* - Other duties may also be assigned.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    Proven experience with major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).Basic photography and video skills.Experience with basic graphic design and photo/video editing software.Enthusiasm for social media and knowledge of digital marketing trends.Experience translating social media analytics into recommendations.Experience with HTML and website platforms (eg AEM, Squarespace).Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field.Three years experience in strategic social media communications. Prior work experience at Stanford University and/or in higher education.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):Bachelor's degree and minimum 1 year of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):
    Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Strong oral and written communication skills.Highly organized and creative.Ability to work independently to meet expected deadlines and schedules.Demonstrated team player.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
    Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.Frequently stand/walk, sit, use a telephone, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, speaking.Occasionally grasp forcefully, writing by hand.Rarely sort/file paperwork.

The expected pay range for this position is $81,309 to $93,494 per annum.
