The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.

Holman is currently accepting applications for the position of Director- International Tax

Primary Tasks:

  • Effectively manage a team of tax professionals, including assigning and reviewing work, providing mentorship and guidance, and coordinating the delivery of work product in a timely and efficient manner
  • Oversee and review foreign information returns and other international forms.
  • Prepare and review Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, PILLAR II and foreign tax credit calculations.
  • Assist with various federal, state, and international inquiries and audits.
  • Research, summarize, communicate, and implement new accounting and tax developments.
  • Assist with the preparation of transfer pricing and country by country compliance.
  • Prepare and review calculations for quarterly and annual global tax provisions, analysis of current and deferred taxes, interim period effective tax rates, and tax-related disclosures
  • Identify tax planning opportunities as well as the tax risks
  • Develop and implement tax strategies that align with the company's business objectives.
  • Develop relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Stay up to date on changes in tax laws and regulations that could impact the company.
  • Oversee statutory audits.
  • Oversee and direct the timely remittance of payments, as applicable.
  • Assist with tax calculations and supporting documents or reconciliations relating to forecasting, budgeting, tax provisions, return to provision analysis, related to GAAP financials and audit footnotes
  • Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures, automation of tax compliance, and tax accounting/financial reporting
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned

Relevant Work Experience:
  • 7-10+ years' tax or related experience, including 4+ at a leadership level; multiple levels of reporting relationships strongly preferred
  • Experience in international reporting
  • Extensive knowledge and experience within own function and general knowledge of areas, departments and/or function(s) within and across other disciplines
  • Developing and implementing processes, methods, and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy

Education and/or Training:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (MS in Taxation or CPA preferred)
  • Proficient in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Onesource suite of products preferred

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $189,530.00 - $298,515.00 USD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay and bonus earnings.
