Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day Operations: Oversee the Procurement Technology Support and Continuous Improvement teams, ensuring effective execution of day-to-day operations. Oversee S&P policies, ensure compliance to those policies, and communication and training of those policies.
  • People Leadership and Team Management: Effectively manage a team of 10 individuals with 4 direct reports. Hire strong talent across the team, develop and coach, and communicate clearly. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the Procurement Operations function.
  • Digital Mindset and Process Simplification: Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in procurement systems and continuous improvement, and apply relevant insights to enhance our operations. Drive a digital mindset within the team, focusing on continuous improvement, simplification, and automation to deliver an improved experience for S&P customers (purchasers), McKesson suppliers and S&P team members. Identify and implement best practices in procurement operations, leveraging technology, data analytics, and continuous improvement methodologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management: Collaborate closely with leadership counterparts in Sourcing & Category Management and Procurement Analytics and Business Continuity to drive cross-functional initiatives and achieve shared objectives. Build and nurture relationships across business units and corporate functions (FSS, Legal, Privacy, ISRM, etc.) that support an improved E2E Procurement experience.

Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):

Education/Training - Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Analytics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Business Experience -
  • Minimum of 3-5 years leading teams.
  • Proven track record of successful people leadership, performance management, and team development.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management
  • Experience in Sourcing & Procurement, particularly leading Procurement Operations is a plus

Critical Skills -
  • Leadership skills including the ability to inspire and motivate their team and provide guidance and support to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  • High emotional intelligence and the ability to build influential business partnerships.
  • Demonstrated experience in process simplification, automation, and elimination of redundancies.
  • Proactive mindset, consistently bringing innovative ideas to the table.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Business Acumen to understand the broader organizational context and align procurement operations with overall business objectives.
  • Proven ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and navigate through ambiguity.

Specialized Knowledge/Skills (Not required, but beneficial) -
  • In-depth knowledge of indirect procurement processes and category management.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and technologies in the procurement and analytics space.

Working Conditions: Traditional office environment. WFH flexibility with occasional requirements to attend in-office meetings and functions.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$126,800 - $211,300
