Position Summary:
The Director/Senior Director of Admissions will be an articulate, organized, dynamic, and enthusiastic team player. Excellent organizational and management skills are necessary.The responsibilities will include those principal duties listed below. Determination of position level (Director or Senior Director) will be determined by level of experience and education of the finalist at the discretion of the hiring manager.
Principal Duties:
- Responsible for meeting enrollment goals, training counselors, and recruiting a qualified class.
- Provide direct supervision, planning, inspiration, and motivation to the Office of Admission.
- Responsible for engaging in and mentoring others in best practices to contribute to the team's overall success.
- Collaborate with University leadership to create a marketing plan that will continue The Chicago School's rise as a leading institution in professional psychology. This will include specific strategies to build The Chicago School's diversity, and develop new markets.
- Act as primary liaison to lead faculty/department chairs regarding enrollment goals, admission decisions, as well as engaging them in the recruitment process.
- Build relationships, and closely communicate with institutional directors, especially accounting, student finance, student services, admission operations and international student services.
- Develop strategies for timely reading of applications, files, communicating with students, and the proper selection of students.
- Manage, coordinate, conduct and analyze all weekly, monthly and annual admission reports (including monthly and annual reports from admission events and recruitment efforts).
- Monitor and manage the Admissions team and individual performance and provide monthly assessments and trainings.
- Maintain knowledge of all TCSPP programs and requirements.
- Coordinate and execute all aspects of recruitment including:professional conferences, fairs, PsiChi, community organizations, and website.
- Oversee all updating of letters and the execution of all mailings.
- Provide, manage and produce weekly, monthly and yearly applicant, inquiry, and enrollment reports.
- Responsible for counselor development in terms of overall contribution to the team and readiness for advancement.
- Assist in developing yearly admission strategic plan and recruitment calendar.
- Assist in recruitment efforts by attending events, meeting with prospective students, parents, college academic programs, professional organizations, and alumni in support of enrollment.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with Academic Program Directors, Financial Services, Facilities, Student Services, and Registrar to coordinate efforts in purchasing, events, admission, and communication for the office and recruitment efforts.
- Manage Admission budget (spending) as well as create annual budget with the Campus Dean.
- Maintain and ensure website is current and flows properly.
- Works directly with prospective students through the admissions process, as needed.
- Position requires some evening and weekend duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Principal Admissions Representative Duties as Needed:
- Establishes and maintains contact with prospective students throughout the admissions cycle in a timely and professional manner.
- Completes a high level of outbound calls per day to reach prospective students in a timely manner
- Clearly articulates the mission and value of TCSPP to prospective students.
- Conducts personal consultations to qualify prospective students on their educational goals and interests, to explain available academic programs, to advise them on admission requirements, and to ensure that all admission paperwork is completed properly. Provides more in-depth consultations for undecided students.
- Produce weekly applicant and inquiry reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent public speaking, strong writing skills, and effective organizational and planning capabilities are necessary.
- Experience in staff management, as well as event planning/coordination is preferred.
- Computer skills including word processing, database management and Power Point (experience with CampusVue and Salesforce is a plus.)
- Must be able to represent, recruit, and work within a diverse community.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years' admissions experience with progressive growth in leadership roles.
- Valid driver's license and personal car are necessary.
- For internal applicants, must have been in Associate Director level position at TCSPP for at least two years with "Exceeds Expectations" on most recent performance review.
- Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends are required.

Compensation & BenefitsThis opportunity is budgeted at $81,900 - $110,000 base compensation. Additional compensation factors may impact total compensation.
