Normal Work Schedule: 7:30am - 4:30pm; shifts and days may vary
Job Summary: The Driver operates automobiles, vans, or other vehicles. Loads and unloads materials, goods, equipment, and passengers between various destinations as assigned. May be responsible for vehicle maintenance and presentation.
Additional Department Summary: The Driver is responsible for transporting residents to scheduled appointments and other activities. Assists residents on and off transportation vehicles, including helping with residents' assistive devices. Assists residents when away from Capstone Village. Covers transportation needs for any unexpected trips or events with limited notice.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Must be able to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions. Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Experience transporting residents in a safe, responsible manner to scheduled appointments and other activities.
Final candidates must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.
Skills and Knowledge: Ability to cover transportation needs for any unexpected trips or events with limited notice. Ability to be a team player and show respect for others. Ability to discuss garage repairs/vehicle issues and follow through on the garage repairs/vehicle issue. Computer literate.
Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or GED.
