About this opportunity:

Cenovus is looking for an Environmental Advisor for our Superior, WI office. Reporting to the Environmental Manager, this contributor will provide regulatory and compliance support to Superior Refining Company by facilitating day-to-day compliance with Water, Stormwater, Spills, and Wetlands across the site.

What you'll do:

  • Provide direction and guidance to staff to ensure procedures, plans, and programs related to air, wastewater, stormwater, wetlands, remediation, and solid waste are effective and sufficient to demonstrate compliance.
  • Ensure assigned federal, state, local, or other applicable government reporting obligations are completed accurately, and promptly and that the relevant compliance records are maintained.
  • Interact with consultants, SMEs, and regulatory agencies to secure technically correct and timely environmental permits.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of existing and proposed environmental regulations to ensure continuous compliance.
Who you are:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • 1+years of relevant work experience
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Environmental Science, or related Science Degree (Chemistry, Biology, Geology, etc.) or other related discipline
  • Environmental engineering or related experience.
  • Direct petrochemical environment experience.
  • Self-starter
  • Able to multi-task
  • Understand and follow local, state, and federal regulations regarding environmental compliance.
