What You Will Do

The Facilities Tech 2 handles a range of tasks to ensure facility upkeep, including cleaning, maintenance, grounds care, and general repairs. This role may involve specialization in areas such as HVAC, custodial work, or recycling programs. The Tech 2 may also coordinate and oversee daily operations, estimate resources, set schedules, and track progress, serving as a technical resource for the team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Work Order Coordination
    • Plan, assign, and oversee tasks for internal staff and external contractors, including office moves, furniture installs, cleaning, inspections, grounds upkeep, and waste management.
    • Guide staff on equipment use and ensure adherence to quality, safety, and budget standards.
    • Offer technical advice, training, and interact with managers and internal customers.
  • Vendor Management
    • Develop specifications, obtain cost estimates, evaluate bids, select vendors, and monitor contract compliance.
    • Oversee vendors to ensure timely, accurate work and compliance with state and local requirements.
  • Reporting and Procedures
    • Document and recommend changes to procedures.
    • Draft reports on work orders and project completions.
  • Facilities Maintenance
    • Inspect and clean facilities and grounds, including regular sweeping and waste management.
    • Maintain supplies, perform minor preventive maintenance, and manage lawn care.
    • Monitor, complete minor PM's, assist in repair, and general maintenance of conveyor system.
  • General Duties
    • Handle general labor tasks such as responding to requests, cleaning, and moving furniture.
    • Work with production leads and take orders from senior maintenance technicians for projects.
    • Move product on the conveyor system as needed.
What You Will Bring
  • Required Degree: High School or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in similar role.
  • Customer Service Orientation: Understand importance and commit to providing excellent products/services to internal and external customers.
  • Delivering Results: Ability to follow through on assignments and make positive contributions.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Able to deal with change and adapt to a changing environment.
  • Quality-Accuracy/Attention to Detail: Attention to details and accuracy of work; focused on avoiding errors.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
