The Texas Water Company is actively seeking talented, driven and highly-productive applicants for the position of Ground Water Operations Superintendent to join our dynamic team. PositionSummary
Under the general direction of the Vice President of Operations,the Groundwater Operations Superintendent is responsible for personnel andequipment involved in activities related to the operation and optimization of wellsites, and well site production. He/she assists in planning, organizing,supervising, and evaluating staff including activities related to safety and waterquality standards. In addition, ensures adherence to operating policies andprocedures within general administrative guidelines; performs other relatedwork as required.

SpecificResponsibilities
The Superintendent manages the Company's groundwater operations tomeet regulatory compliance and drinking water standards. The Superintendent isresponsible for the overall efficient operation and inspection of all wellsites, including well performance, site maintenance, including coordinationwith other departments including surface water and SCADA. Extensive liaisonwith representatives of various regulatory and government agencies as well aswith business, industry, community groups, and the public.   

Plans, organizes and coordinates a comprehensive water production and quality control program, with a safety-first approach.
Acts as the technical expert for the Company in groundwater supply and maintains liaison with and participates in meetings with a variety of agencies and organizations.
Develops and recommends policies and procedures to perform work safely and efficiently.
Supervises the operation, inspection, and maintenance of well sites and pumping stations, including coordination and implementation of our SCADA Program.
Establishes and revises operating procedures to meet conditions and maintain acceptable standards of water quantity and pressure.
Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the SCADA control system with assistance of the SCADA team.
Establishes and maintains a training program for operator development and adherence to Company protocol and SOPs.
Maintains records and prepares written reports, budgets, and analyses as required.

RequiredKnowledge Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices; principles, practices, methods, equipment, and maintenance involved in the operation of well production and associated distribution facilities.
Ability to interpret plant, piping and distribution diagrams.
Use resourcefulness, and initiative, particularly in emergency situations.
Organize and prioritize work to meet varied and changing operational needs.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of the work.
Utilize a personal computer and current applications of word processing or spreadsheet software programs.
Good written and oral communication skills

RequiredEducation and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, chemistry, biology, or a Class A Water License with 5 years of managerial experience.
Five years of administrative or managerial experience supervising professional staff that requires technical expertise in the field of water supply, storage, distribution, and water quality.
An advanced degree is desirable.
Must possess or make satisfactory progress towards possession of a Class A Water Treatment Operator License issued by the TCEQ.

OtherRequirements
Must possess a valid Texas driver's license and have asatisfactory driving record.
