Metallus Internship Program

Internship Assignment: Full Time - Summer 2025

• Project management
• Effective communication with third party outside contractors
• Ordering components for replacement or new installation
• Review of engineered drawings for planning of jobs
• Scheduling and oversight of maintenance work for repair or new installations
• Electrical and/or Mechanical systems troubleshooting and repair
• Test and inspection of electrical and/or mechanical components
• Create job plans for electrical or mechanical work based off of SME's provided service requests
• Coordinate repairs/improvements to equipment through maintainers and outside contractors
• Aid in documenting and categorizing spare parts inventory for systems
• Assist in replacement of PLC components, I/O upgrades, hydraulic and pneumatic systems throughout areas of the plant
• Identification of obsolete parts and components for electrical and/or mechanical systems

Internship Qualifications:

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
• Must have completed 30 or more credit hours by the end of the spring 2025 semester
• Must be a full-time student attending an accredited two-year or four-year college/university
• Preferred majors: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
