POSITION: HSE&S Manager
LOCATION: 1313 Windsor Avenue, Columbus, OH 43211
HOURS: Full Time / 40 hours

Summary of Duties:
Provide HSE&S support and leadership for the site; plan, coordinate, control, develop and implement policies, systems, procedures, and training to drive all aspects of HSE performance and compliance to all regulatory and AkzoNobels requirements; perform HSE regulatory compliance assessments and accountability for follow up and implementation of audit actions; manage regulatory permits relating to HSE.
Interface directly with outside government agencies, and other external stakeholders as needed to maintain site regulatory permits; conduct risk and occupational exposure assessments; develop and implement exposure-monitoring plan; manage and respond to HSE&S issues that affect operations; accountable for all HSE Incident Investigations and corrective actions; keep up-to-date on HSE regulatory changes that impact the company; develop processes that ensure Corporate HSE requirements are adhered to; monitor safe working condition and behavior during process; prepare and submit internal and external HSE related reports as required; lead role in new project/process changes MOC & PHA) as HSE expert to assure compliance with ANs & local legislation standards.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience in any occupation where required experience was gained. Employer will accept a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience in any occupation where required experience was gained in lieu of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 5 years of experience.

Applicants must have demonstrated experience with the following:
1)5 years (2 years with a Master's degree) of experience in supporting HSE policy and procedures with demonstrated knowledge of regulatory (environmental and
safety) frameworks applicable to paints and coatings industry for internal audits;
2)demonstrated knowledge of Process Safety elements;
3)experience with Risk Assessment and Risk Management, including Hazard Studies; and
4)HSE data management software (Enablon or PHA Pro)
