Our client is seeking an IT Desktop Support Specialist in Alpharetta, GA.

Role Description

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide local support for headquarters.
• Support international offices on the phone - Canada and USA.
• Interact with C-level executives.
• Provide in-person troubleshooting.
• Provide desk-side support for Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, emails, printers, and other peripherals.
• Assist users with technical issues, including troubleshooting and resolving problems with software and hardware.
• Set up and configure laptops for new hires, ensuring all necessary software and settings are installed.
• Support C-level executives with in-person troubleshooting and technical assistance.
• Collaborate with the IT team in India to address and resolve technical issues.
• Maintain and manage IT equipment inventory.
• Ensure timely and effective communication with users regarding the status of their support requests.
• Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software, and application problems.
• Resolve user-reported problems using available tools and following procedures and policies for the handling of support cases.
• Conduct remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions to non-technical users.
• Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers, etc.).
• Check computer hardware (HDD, mice, keyboards, etc.) to ensure functionality.
• Install and configure appropriate software according to specifications.
• Ensure the security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
• Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work.
• Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging, etc.).
• Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes.
• Follow up with users to ensure their systems are functional.
• Report significant and recurring issues to the IT department.
• Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.
• Support Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and the Office Suite.
• Handle EntraID tasks such as granting access and resetting passwords.
• Utilize Azure for various tasks.
• Use ServiceDesk for ticketing.

Skills & Requirements

Qualifications:
• 1-5 years of experience in IT desktop support or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with C-level executives.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles.
• Certification as an IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional).
Plus Skills:
• Basic understanding of Azure is a plus, but not required.
• Degree in Computer Science, engineering, or a relevant field.
• Certifications in IT support or related fields are a plus, but not required.
• Entra ID knowledge.
