We are assisting a client in Grapevine, TX with locating an IT Server Engineer for a full time position with them. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining server and desktop infrastructure to ensure the access of mission-critical application in the company.
Data Analysis/Communication/Issue Resolution - Prevention % of Job - 80%
- Configure and manage servers of different operation systems, such as Windows or Linux, including installing, fixing issues, and upgrading while implementing enhancements to improve performance and reliability.
- Monitor server on daily basis and troubleshoot issues at both server and PC levels.
- Manage backup and recovery of server data.
- Develop and maintain documentation for server systems and processes.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of server systems with other systems and applications.
- Other duties as assigned.
Warehouse Efficiencies - Cost Reduction % of Job - 10%
- Implements warehouse efficiencies and cost reduction programs to assist the company in making better merchandise flow decisions by conducting thorough analysis on key areas which are causing product and delivery issues.

Team Leadership

Education and/or Experience
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
- At least 3-year working experience as server engineer.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Linux/Unix-based server systems.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare or Hyper-V.
- Fluent in English.
- Experience as database administrator is a plus.

Working Conditions
Must be able to tolerate moderate to high noise levels in a warehouse environment. Office and outside environmental conditions found in the warehouse, hot in the summer, cold in the winter. Individuals may need to walk for an extensive period of time while working and walking the facilities; to reach over shoulder heights; bend or stoop below the waist; repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement; occasional lifting up to 30 pounds
