Meet the team:
Dexcom is expanding its internal testing department and is looking for people who can perform routine instrumental analysis along with performing routine maintenance the instrument. The Lab Technician III position will be responsible for performing various laboratory and testing activities in support of routine production release testing and Engineering / R&D projects.

Work Schedule: Must be flexible to work weekends and overtime, Hours and shifts are subject to change.

Location: Dobson Rd, Mesa AZ

Shifts:
1A: Sunday- Tuesday /every other Wednesday 5:00am-5:00pm (Days)
1B: Thursday -Saturday/every other Wednesday 5:00am-5:00pm (Days)

Where you come in:

  • You will be performing routine analysis of samples brought into the space along with performing routine maintenance on the instrument and multi-level troubleshooting.
  • You will perform assigned duties on time and following established procedures and protocols for testing, release specification criteria and maintenance requirements.
  • You will be responsible for training manufacturing associates on performing routine analysis on the instruments.
  • You will interact with other departments, collaborating with cross-functional teams on various projects, including continuous improvement projects, process qualification testing and test / equipment verification and validation.
  • You will help with ad hoc testing or investigational experiments when required including using various test equipment programs and creating programs if needed.
  • You may repair or modify tools, fixtures or equipment and create procedures and documentation.

What makes you successful:
  • You have experience in running instrumentation and preparing solutions / reagents in a controlled laboratory setting, following good documentation practices and good laboratory practices.
  • You have experience with writing experimental reports, summaries and protocols.
  • You have experience performing beyond basic troubleshooting / maintenance on instruments.
  • You bring a drive to complete tasks on time and an understanding of the process flow / importance of data release for a testing laboratory.
  • You are driven to do tasks "right the first time" and take responsibility for your actions and decisions, regardless of the outcome.
  • You can make detailed observations, analyze data, interpret results and report out on your findings.
  • You work well in a small team environment and can pivot to different tasks quickly and work under pressure for extend periods of time.
  • You can maintain record keeping and documentation for testing and processes performed, including electronic and handwritten.
  • You understand basic Office suite software - Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.

Experience and Education Requirements:
  • Typically requires a minimum of 4-6 years of related experience and a High School diploma/certificate or equivalent.

Language Skills:
Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Examples of English language proficiency may include (but are not limited to): ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to verbally communicate with leadership, employees, and auditors; ability to comprehend spoken language.

Physical Demands:
Employees in this position may be required to perform the following physical activities: standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods of time; frequent use of the hands, fingers, wrist, and greater arm to handle small materials, tools, boxes, and trays; lifting and carrying objects up to 50Ibs; occasional overhead reaches and lifts; occasional lifts and reaches below the knee; occasional pushing and pulling of materials and objects with moderate forces; occasional crouching/kneeling, twisting, and squatting movements.

Work Environment:
Employees may be exposed to the following environmental conditions while performing this job: work near moving parts, work with chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, exposure to intense light and/or intermittent light, fast-paced work, and elevated noise levels.
