Job Description Summary
Provide laboratory animal care to a variety of laboratory animals in a safe, humane and sanitary manner, adhering to all federal, state, local and University regulations, guidelines and policies. Will be in charge of mouse husbandry and working safely within a bio-containment facility. Operation, cleaning, and maintaining of equipment. Need good organizational, time management and be detail oriented. Must be comfortable working with animals. Must be willing to work Saturdays/Sunday/holidays if necessary. Must be comfortable moving and working in full PPE and use of a PAPR. Primary responsibilities include assisting in the care of animals, transport of equipment and animals, maintaining cleanliness of the laboratory space, equipment maintenance, and handling of animals for various procedures safely.

Qualifications
H.S. Diploma or GED Required, with 1-2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Position is contingent upon grant funding.
