A DAY IN THE LIFE

Enthalpy Analytical in San Diego, CA is currently seeking aPart-Time Laboratory Assistantto join our San Diego team of aquatic toxicologists. Enthalpy is a consulting laboratory focused on the analysis, integration, interpretation, validation, and application of high quality toxicity data.

Compensation: $17.00 - $19.00/hour

Schedule: Part-time (20-25 hours/week), Flexible Schedule Monday - Friday between the hours of 8 am - 5 pm

As a key member of the laboratory team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:

Role and Responsibilities

• Provides support for bioassay testing; assists technicians with whole effluent toxicity (WET) and sediment testing activities
• Cleans and maintains glassware for lab operations
• Prepares glassware and other materials for use in testing
• Assists with general lab maintenance and cleaning
• Assists with animal care and maintenance
• Prepares and ships sampling kits to clients
• Frequent microscopeuse for analysis of embryo development
• Use of company vehicle for seawater collection and sample couriers

• High School diploma or GED
• Previous experience in a lab setting desired
• Must have ability to follow directions and work in a team setting
• Good communication skills required
• Detailoriented
