Location: Chapel Hill, NC

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm

Role is Contract to Hire and is looking move quickly!

Pay is flexible, depending on experience.

General Duties:

Maintains standards of professional care and maintains patient confidentiality.

Performs ordered procedures safely, efficiently, and professionally to include all required views.

Assesses patient's condition (physical and psychosocial); prioritizes needs, sets goals, and responds appropriately to meet those needs, which includes discharge teaching.

Reports and records pertinent observations and reactions to care rendered.

Administers contrast to assigned patients.

Responsible for set up and patient monitoring for IV Sedation cases.

Assists with specific tests and procedures as needed.

Participates in the economical utilization of supplies.

Assures that equipment is always maintained and available for use.

Assists co-workers and physicians in giving care to patients.

Establishes and maintains open communication.

Utilizes teaching opportunities with patients and other significant individuals.

Assists with / or institutes emergency measures for sudden adverse occurrences in patients.

Maintains a clean, safe, and well-maintained supplied environment for patients and staff.

On regular, sustained basis, cooperates with other staff members both inside and outside the department in accomplishment of own job duties as well as assisting other in accomplishing theirs; serves as a team player and role model for other employees in the organization, always exhibiting traits of courtesy, caring, helpfulness and respect; conducts oneself in a service-oriented manner that is attentive, pleasant, cooperative, sensitive, respectful and kind when dealing with team members, visitors, public and all employees.

Performs other duties and accepts responsibility, as assigned.

Requirements:

Education: Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and registered in mammography

Experience: Previous experience in a busy office or hospital is preferred.

Must have valid CPR Certification and ARRT Certification.
