Position Summary

The Manufacturing Planner/Scheduler III will be responsible for planning all aspect of production. The position will lead with large, more complex planning assignment and data analysis to figure out most cost efficient and optimal production schedule that Manufacturing can optimally complete. Involve with the new product introduction and transfers, includes interaction with other departments to ensure that company objectives are met for business revenues and customer satisfaction. Planners at this level exercise greater independence and judgment, receiving general supervision from management. sophisticated Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills are a must.

Key Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Develop and maintain detailed production schedules for manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient resource utilization and adherence to timelines.

Collaborate with production, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to align schedules with production capabilities, material availability, and customer requirements.

Analyze production data and trends to identify potential bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency and throughput.

Apply advance planning and scheduling tools to build and adjust production schedules in response to priority changes and unforeseen disruptions.

Monitor and report on key performance indicators (critical metrics) related to production scheduling, including on-time delivery, cycle times, and resource utilization.

Coordinate with procurement and inventory management teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling processes, reduce lead times, and increase production flexibility.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory and quality standards in the scheduling process.

Provide training and support to junior schedulers and production planners as needed.

Participate in cross-functional meetings to communicate schedule status, potential risks, and mitigation plans.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required. Degree in business or supply chain preferred. Data scientists can be considered.

A minimum of 3 years in production planning and scheduling within a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in sophisticated planning and scheduling software (e.g., SAP, ForcastPro, Kinaxis).

Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret sophisticated data sets.

Excellent interpersonal and time-management skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing scheduling challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:

APICS certified in Planning & Inventory Management preferable with medical device manufacturer experience a plus.

Six Sigma Certification a plus.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

Normal office & manufacturing environment

Position may require frequent communication and walking to other areas in which designated PPE will be required

Position will require sitting and/or standing for prolonged periods of time

Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $83,300.00-$125,000.00.
