MRI develops, implements and manages MRI safety programs, policies and procedures, including screening, access controls and staff training. Generates images of the organs of the body through non-invasive imaging technology utilizing strong magnetic fields, magnetic field gradients and radio waves to generate images of the organs of the body to diagnose medical conditions.
Position Summary
This position performs all duties of a MRI Technologist, in addition to coordinating daily workflow, daily assignments, patient flow, and provides support to the operation of the department. The Lead provides all quality assessment activities for the imaging site, in addition to the maintenance of accreditation of the site, under the direction of the Radiology Manager. Aids in assessing MRI Technologists' performance for annual appraisals, as well as orienting new staff to the Imaging Center. The Lead may cover additional Radiology Manager Responsibilities, as necessary, in the Manager's absence, or should a vacancy occur.
Minimum Qualifications
For Hire: A.R.R.T. Radiography registered with current ODH licensure. Individual must have completed advanced registry in MRI. Previous MRI experience is required. Lead and/or supervisory experience is preferred.
On going: Maintains registry & licensing status; meets mandatory education and health surveillance requirements. Demonstrates competence in technical, interpersonal, and cognitive skills required to meet essential job functions.
