Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.
The National Sales Manager is responsible for strategic and tactical oversight of sales activities to ensure that the company objectives are accomplished.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Foster Company Growth
- Manage and oversee the National sales support team in order to achieve the company's targeted objectives.
- Develop and/or collaborate on strategic and tactical sales plans.
- Analyze sales statistics to determine growth potential.
- Ensure the company's Sales Policy is being upheld.
- Support National Development Director team on potential new business opportunities.
- Initiate and/or develop relationships with key clients.
- Development and on-going review/support of national tariff to include ownership and maintenance of Pricing Dashboard
- Collaboration with JAS Worldwide Tender Team to support RFQs and other initiatives.
- Support and collaboration with JAS Worldwide on any pricing initiatives/projects.
- Ownership of RFQs specifically driven within the US organization that fall outside of qualifications for WW Tender support
Sales Team Administration
- Collaborate to ensure sales support staffing is sufficient to meet company objectives.
- Standardize sales support metrics to create national database, providing visibility of success ratios, etc.
- Accompany sales team members on client sales visits if requested.
- Complete other duties as directed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct performance evaluation for direct reports
- Responsible for all hiring, firing and promotion of assigned staff
- Identify and resolve personnel issues
- Ongoing coaching and mentoring of staff to develop skills to the highest level
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics.
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting RFQs (Request for Quotations) and supporting a sales team.
- Experience working in pricing tools/platforms
- Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with CargoWise (C1) is a plus.
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Independent, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to perform essential duties without creating a risk to the health or safety of oneself or others.
- Proven ability to interact positively and effectively with colleagues, subordinates, and supervisors.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- College degree is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years freight forwarding/logistics experience.
- Must have experience conducting RFQs.

- Experienced in digesting and manipulating large sets of data.
