Caterpillar's Medium Wheel Loader (MWL) products play a key role in helping our customers build a better world and we have a great opportunity for you to join the team that makes that happen as a New Product Introduction (NPI) Strategy and Voice of Customer Lead (internally known as NPI Team Leader)!

In this impactful role, you will lead processes and make recommendations for future new product program planning and scoping. You will also lead the go-to-market support for Global Construction & Infrastructure (GCI) regarding program launch marketing materials and selling points.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage MWL future Multi-Generational Product Planning (MGPP) integrating priorities for Customer & Market Needs, Aftermarket, Technology, Cost, Velocity and Quality.
  • Develop new NPI program business cases including the development and validation of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) in support of research and development funding prioritization.
  • Collect, consolidate, prioritize and align GCI unmet customer needs with future NPI MGPP planning.
  • Validate customer & dealer facing machine features.
  • Support creation of dealer and customer-facing machine marketing materials.
What You Have (Basic Qualifications):
  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related curriculum from an accredited college or university.
  • Extensive experience directly supporting a construction or heavy equipment industry product group in a technical and/or commercial capacity.
  • Progressive experience and direct involvement in technical projects or programs, highlighting expertise in driving strategic initiatives and achieving measurable outcomes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely across all levels of the organization, facilitating collaboration and alignment.
  • Strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, project management acumen, and the ability to lead a team through diverse issues. Must have the ability to work with people from many different backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, with the appropriate influence and ability to resolve differences.
Top Candidates Will Have :
  • Demonstrated collaboration across wide range of disciplines including Marketing, Commercial, Engineering, Product Support, Operations, Supply Chain, Business Resources, etc.
Additional Info :
  • Onboarding for the role will require frequent travel to the Caterpillar Aurora, IL facility.
  • 20% domestic and international travel is expected.
  • Domestic relocation is available to those who qualify.
