Position Summary:

Moraine Park Technical College is seeking a full-time Nursing Instructor on our Beaver Dam campus. This position is responsible for the multiple modality delivery of instruction and facilitation of student learning and providing ongoing development of curriculum, assessment, and learning strategies to meet workforce needs in the Nursing program. This instructor may be asked to teach at various sites within the Moraine Park District to include campus, center and business locations, and may be required to teach on evenings and weekends. This position reports to the Associate Dean of Health.  

 

 

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Nursing, or must expect to graduate from a Master's Degree in Nursingprogram within one year. The candidate will need two years of paid work experience in the program being taught within the past five years. The candidate must be a Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wisconsin or a state belonging to the NurseLicensure Compact (NLC). The candidate must be in good standing with clinical placements.

Responsibilities:

 

• Prepare for and facilitate learning in the assigned courses according to the College's core values. Establish a professional and safe learning environment. Set the classroom tone by modeling appropriate workplace skills and behavior. Maintain a positive climate for learning by performing classroom management and being aware of, monitoring, and enforcing the Student Code of Conduct.
• Meet student learning needs by incorporating a variety of teaching methods and assessments.
• Maintain student confidentiality, records, and documentation as required by Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Submit grades within the expected timeframe.
• Provide timely verbal and written feedback to the students to ensure continued growth and development.
• Participate in the development, implementation, evaluation, and updating of curriculum.
• Assist with student recruitment and proactively promote the College programs and services offered.

Experience with all of the following job duties:o Nursing assessment of the health status of the patiento Develop a nursing plan of care for the patient which includes goals and priorities derivedfrom the nursing diagnosiso Evaluation of nursing careo Directly administer nursing care or direct and supervise Registered Nurses and LicensedPractical Nurses, Nursing Assistants, and unlicensed patient caregivers in giving care* Upon hire, must maintain and/or obtain Higher Learning Commission, Faculty Quality AssuranceSystem, and other agency requirements and licensure required to maintain individual andprogram accreditation, if applicable.* Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting and maintainingan inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity.

 

 

Hiring Range: $73,339-$91,673

Starting: August 2024
