Position Details:
Wage: $16.277 per hour
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Dress Attire: Business Casual

What You Will Do as an Office Specialist for the Nebraska Abuse and Neglect Team:

  • Data entry and document copying
  • File completion and management
  • Requesting and processing birth certificates and Social Security cards
  • Delivery of documents to the courthouse
  • Process and email court reports to legal parties
  • Process court orders, entering in data base, entry on calendar and scheduling legal actions
  • Process paperwork for Income Maintenance Foster Care

Requirements/Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training in administrative/office support functions, procedures, and methods including the operation of personal computers and office equipment; or areas related to the programs and functions of the employing agency. OR Experience in customer service or public contact; or applying criteria/regulations; and/or performing administrative/office/secretarial support work including use of personal computers and office equipment.

A valid Driver License is required.

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

The ideal candidate will have:

A strong understanding of secretarial and clerical support tasks, including recordkeeping, database management, and report preparation.

Familiarity with customer service practices and related policies and procedures.

Knowledge of specialized terminology and processes specific to the role.

Proficiency in grammar, punctuation, spelling, and composition for business and specialized writing.

Skilled in using word processing and data software for document management.

The ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

The ability to follow instructions, apply relevant policies, and carry out tasks effectively.
