Job Summary

Department Specific Responsibilities

• Assists the Food Kitchen Manager.
• Oversees food service provided to human subjects participating on dietary intervention feeding trials.
• Oversees day-to-day operational needs of the food laboratory.
• Trains all food laboratory staff.
• Maintains regulatory compliance and infection control practices.
• Maintains communication with participants and staff regarding the level of services they receive from staff and promotes participant satisfaction with nutritional services. This information is
• relayed to the investigative team whenever necessary.
• Assigns staff and workload, respecting changing priorities in daily operations.
• Actively collaborates in the process of menu development for study protocols.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)

WORK EXPERIENCE

Required

• 2 years of food service and/or nutrition management experience.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES

Preferred

• ServSafe Food Protection Manager

SKILLS

Required

• Proficient communication skills
