Part-time Human Resources Assistant

We seek a talented administrative professional to join our Human Resources Team, providing day-to-day support for all HR activities including recruiting, onboarding, benefits and compensation, employee services, event planning, training, compliance and more. Position requires excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills, clerical and computer proficiency, an employee-service oriented personality, and demonstrated ability to work with confidential information in a professional manner.

Responsibilities will include

  • Supporting HR projects and initiatives to improve employee satisfaction, engagement and retention
  • Maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of HR files and records; performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
  • Recruiting support such as posting approved job ads, scheduling interviews, generating offer packages and coordinating screening
  • Onboarding support to include material preparation for orientations, auditing employee paperwork for completion and accuracy, data entry, communicating essential data with appropriate individuals
  • Supporting the team with delivery, collection and processing of forms and information related to employee requests for leave and communicating essential information to managers
  • Assisting with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, employee wellness initiatives and other HR programming.
  • Supporting employees with benefits enrollment and changes, communicating employee selections with benefit carriers, auditing enrollment data against invoices
  • Supporting efforts to create and deliver training programs to include material preparation and distribution, scheduling, tracking attendance and completion of assignments.
  • Supporting HR compliance efforts including EEO and VETS reporting, communication/delivery of required information
  • Supporting corporate communications efforts as they relate to HR
  • Maintaining employee records using HRIS and network-based e-filing system
REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be available for work 20-24 hours/week. Preferred onsite schedule is M-Th 9am-2pm.. .
  • Associates degree in business, HR, psychology or related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years' office experience in human resources, benefits administration, executive support, or similar field
  • Experience with UKG, ADP or similar HRIS helpful.
  • Strong PC skills required including MS Office (Word/Outlook). Intermediate Excel skills preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, diplomacy and communications skills required
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills required. Accuracy with details is essential.
  • Able to interact positively with and provide guidance to individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to work with sensitive, confidential and/or private data, required
  • Must be a team player with a service-oriented personality and demonstrated willingness to be flexible, creative, and supportive
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol screening
