SARSTEDT, a leading manufacturer and distributor of blood collection and medical devices, laboratory consumables and instrumentation, seeks a Production Line Inspector in Newton, NC.
Shift: 2nd Shift
Hours: 2:30pm to 11:00pm (Monday - Friday)
Department: Kit Assembly
Summary
Performs repetitive assembly operations of special customer orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assembles, disassembles and packages products and kits.
Processes daily production order documentation and shift records.
Reviews and follows production Bill-of-Material instructions.
Prepares order releases at the beginning of each new order.
Responsible for ensuring that products meet quality standards.
Education/Requirements/Work Environment
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and talk or hear.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and depth perception.
