Description:
Title: Production Supervisor

1st and 2nd Shift Available!

Summary:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the production and packaging departments within a specified shift. This role involves training employees, planning work schedules, ensuring quality control, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage a team of 20-50 employees within the production, packaging, and repack departments.
• Ensure a safe and compliant work environment by adhering to all safety regulations and reporting any hazards.
• Maintain high-quality standards for all products produced, ensuring compliance with company and customer specifications.
• Foster positive employee relations and motivate team members to achieve departmental goals.
• Coordinate production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize efficiency.
• Monitor and control employee hours, including overtime.
• Provide ongoing training and development to ensure a skilled and knowledgeable workforce.
• Interpret and communicate company policies to employees.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend changes to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Analyze production and packaging issues and assist team members in finding solutions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records, including HACCP paperwork.
• Ensure a clean and sanitary work environment.
• Collaborate with other supervisors and leads to coordinate departmental activities.
• Enforce standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a production supervisor role.
  
  
• Experience in the food industry, particularly with packaging cooked products, is strongly preferred.
  
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
• Experience with an ERP system is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
